Giving and Benefits
By becoming a member of the Ram Athletic Fund, you play a vital role in the success of VCU Athletics and its student-athletes. Each year more than 250 student-athletes compete on the fields of play and in the classroom to receive the best collegiate experience and prepare them for the rest of their lives. Membership is yours with an annual donation to the VCU Ram Athletic Fund. The membership year runs from July 1 through the following June 30.
How Can You Support the Rams?
Annual Gifts- Cash/Check/Credit Card:
• Donations in the form of cash, checks (made payable to VCU Foundation), or credit card are the most popular ways of giving. Your gift can be billed annually, semi-annually, or quarterly. All pledges must be paid in full by June 30th of the giving year. To make a pledge, please contact Vic Cegles. *For questions regarding payments, please contact Alex Moore.
Making a gift online:
• Online giving is the quickest and most convenient way to renew your Ram Athletic Fund donation. Visit www.givenow.vcu.edu/athletics and check “Ram Athletic Fund” under “Donor Designation.” You can make a one-time gift or setup a recurring gift. Under “Gift Frequency,” select “I would like to make a recurring gift” to make monthly, quarterly or annual installments on your Ram Athletic Fund pledge. *For questions regarding an online gift, please contact Alex Moore.
Matching Gifts:
• If your employer is a participant in a matching gift program, you will receive Ram Athletic Fund credit for the total contribution. This is a great way to double and increase your giving level. See your Human Resources Department for complete information on matching gifts. Go to www.matchinggifts.com/vcu for more details or contact Alex Moore.
Planned Giving- Estate Gifts/Securities/Bequests:
• Deferred gifts, through wills, bequests, and trusts may also provide the funds to help VCU Athletics. In addition, securities are welcomed gifts and can be transferred electronically and can provide tax benefits and advantages of appreciated value. *For more information on bequests, please contact Andrew Hartley.
Endowments:
• The Endowed Scholarship Program within the Ram Athletic Fund allows a donor to provide for the future of our student-athletes. A minimum gift of $25,000 can endow a scholarship and you may specify the sport program. This is a great way to honor a family member, friend, coach or former student-athlete and to ensure continued support for student-athletes. *Please contact Andrew Hartley.
Gifts-in-kind
Gifts that can offset the expenses of the VCU Athletic Department are welcome. Fair market value for these gifts will be given toward Ram Athletic Fund membership.
Priority Point System
Priority Point System:
The Ram Athletic Fund priority point system is designed to reward loyalty as well as your level of support.
